The front of this medal is given entirely to the Lamb of God: haloed, lying down, a slender cross-staff and banner resting over its shoulder against an open field. It is the oldest of Christian emblems, John the Baptist's Ecce Agnus Dei, Behold the Lamb of God, made into metal.
Turn it and the scene changes to an interior under a Gothic arcade, where figures kneel and gather around a long table. Two lines in the exergue read NOSTRA DOMINA A COENACVLO — Our Lady of the Cenacle. The cenacle is the upper room: the room of the Last Supper, and the room where the apostles waited with Mary in prayer until Pentecost came. That is where this devotion places her, at the center of a company waiting on the Spirit, and it is the title carried by the Sisters of the Cenacle in France.
