The Vintage Bronze Trinity Form Crucifix with Flowers ends each of its four arms in a round boss, and every boss is cut with a four-petalled flower and set about with three small balls. The arms between are chamfered and left plain so the flowered discs carry all the ornament, and the corpus stands against a nimbus of cut rays.
Those groupings of three give the crucifix its name: the Trinity repeated at each end of the Cross, so that whichever way the eye travels it arrives at the same confession. The flowers set into the discs are the older idea of the Cross as the tree of life, dead wood that puts out blossom. At nearly three inches it is a substantial crucifix, weighty in the hand and easily read from across a room.
