Product Details

The Mary with Daisy Wreath medal shows Our Lady standing in a plain round field with her arms lowered and open at her sides, fine rays falling from her hands. Around her runs a wreath of small daisy rosettes with beaded points set between the flowers, so the whole circle reads as a garden growing around her.

The open hands are the heart of the devotion. When Mary appeared to St. Catherine Laboure in the Rue du Bac in Paris in 1830, light streamed from her fingers, and she explained the rays as the graces she pours out on all who ask for them. Generations of Catholics have worn that image as a quiet act of asking. The daisy wreath adds an older and gentler note: the small white flower was long read as a token of innocence, and medieval gardeners counted it among Our Lady's flowers.

The Mary with Daisy Wreath medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the medal's vintage character.

  • Made in the USA
  • Artisan-cast from an antique original
  • Finished by hand, so every piece is subtly unique.
  • Buy the medal alone, or add an optional chain or cord necklace
  • Add a cord or chain to have it arrive assembled and ready to wear
  • Arrives in a deluxe velour jewelry box
