Vintage Bronze St. Padre Pio Medal, Pray for Us

Padre Pio kneels in his habit with his hands lifted toward a flaming heart crowned with a cross, bearded and stooped, caught in the middle of prayer rather than posed for a portrait. Narrow raised panels run down each side of the front, lettered vertically Saint and Padre Pio.
The Capuchin of San Giovanni Rotondo bore the wounds of Christ for fifty years and spent his days in the confessional, at times hearing penitents for sixteen hours at a stretch. Pray, hope, and do not worry, he told them. The reverse of the medal is a plain sunken field within a stepped border, with Pray for us written across it in a flowing script hand, and the square panelled shape gives the whole piece its mid-century character.
The St. Padre Pio medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the medal's vintage character.
