Rosary Set 23 pairs a star-set crucifix with a small Marian center. The arms of the cross end in cusped lobes, each carrying a raised star, and beneath the titulus the corpus hangs in quiet relief. The round center shows a standing veiled figure, her hands lowered and open, ringed by a border of rays and stars that answers the crucifix point for point.
The titulus is lettered INRI, for Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum, Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews, the charge Pilate ordered fixed above the cross and the words crucifixes have carried ever since. Across from it stands the rayed and starred Virgin in her glory, so a rosary built on this pair moves between the Passion and the woman who stood beneath it.
The crucifix and center were faithfully reproduced from antique originals and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves their vintage character.
