The Vintage Bronze Madonna Fan Rosary Center gathers a surprising amount of movement into a very small piece. A raised oval panel holds the veiled bust of Our Lady, her head turned gently to one side, and ribbed fans spring open on either side of the panel and curl down beneath it, closing in a beaded oval at the foot.
A center sits at the heart of a rosary, where the decades meet and the prayer turns, and it was made to be found by the fingers as the beads pass. The Marian bust is the traditional image for that place: the Mother of God at the middle of the prayer, her veiled head a reminder of whose hands carry every Ave to her Son.
