Vintage Bronze Little Flower and St. Pius X Medal

The Vintage Bronze Little Flower and St. Pius X Medal has rose blooms worked right into its outline. The front shows Therese of Lisieux veiled and seen almost in profile, her eyes lowered, cradling a crucifix and a spray of roses against her habit, with LITTLE FLOWER OF JESUS curving along the lower rim.
The roses banked around her are the promise she is remembered for, that she would spend her heaven doing good upon earth and let fall a shower of roses. The reverse carries the profile bust of a pope in skullcap and cope, named SAINT PIUS X, again set above a bed of roses. The pairing is a natural one: Pius X was the pope of frequent communion and of early first communion for children, and he opened the cause that led to her canonisation.
The medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
