Vintage Bronze Lily Point Crucifix

Four lily blossoms mark the ends of the Vintage Bronze Lily Point Crucifix, each one opening above a pair of crossed leaves on arms that are otherwise left smooth and beveled. The corpus hangs at the crossing, slender and quietly modeled, the head inclined to the right, with nothing in the ornament to draw attention away from it.
The lily is the old emblem of purity, and set at the four points of a cross it reads as the Passion opening into new life. There is no lettering on the piece. The warm bronze finish gathers darker in the recesses and stays bright on the raised blossoms, which gives so plain an outline more depth than it first appears to have, and at one and three quarter inches it is a good size for the crucifix of a rosary.
The Lily Point crucifix was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the crucifix's vintage character.
