The Vintage Bronze Infant of Prague Medal follows the outline of the little King himself. He stands crowned in a wide bell-shaped mantle with the right hand raised in blessing and a cross on his breast, the embroidery of the robe worked in fine scrolls across the whole lower half.
The devotion goes back to a small wax-coated statue given to the Carmelites of Prague in 1628, dressed and crowned by the faithful ever since and honored above all for provision in hard times, on the promise that the more you honor him the more he will bless you. The reverse turns to the Sacred Heart, a flaming heart beneath a cross within the crown of thorns, with ITALY cast at the foot to mark where the antique original was made.
The Infant of Prague medal was faithfully reproduced from that antique Italian original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the medal's vintage character.
