The Vintage Bronze Gloved Hand Milagro is a hand pointing downward, the fingers held close together and the thumb held out from them, rising from a wide flared cuff banded and worked with ornament along its edge. The cuff gives it the look of a gloved or vested hand rather than a bare one, and makes the piece far more striking than its size would suggest.
Milagros are the small votive figures left at shrines throughout Mexico and Latin America, each one naming a particular petition or a particular thanksgiving.
