Our Lady of Hope (also known as Our Lady of Pontmain) is a beloved title of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This devotion commemorates the miraculous apparition at Pontmain, France on January 17, 1871, during the Franco-Prussian War. As Prussian troops threatened to invade, the Blessed Mother appeared to several children in the night sky, wearing a dark blue gown covered with golden stars. Her message—"But pray, my children. God will hear you in a short time. My Son allows Himself to be moved"—brought comfort to the fearful villagers. That very night, the Prussian advance mysteriously halted.
These Our Lady of Hope medals, available in 14K gold, Sterling Silver, and Gold-Filled, honor Mary as invoked during times of uncertainty and crisis. Her feast day is January 17. Wearing this medal invites Mary's intercession and protection—a powerful reminder that prayer moves heaven.
