Our Lady Of Hope Medals

Our Lady of Hope (also known as Our Lady of Pontmain) is a beloved title of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This devotion commemorates the miraculous apparition at Pontmain, France on January 17, 1871, during the Franco-Prussian War. As Prussian troops threatened to invade, the Blessed Mother appeared to several children in the night sky, wearing a dark blue gown covered with golden stars. Her message—"But pray, my children. God will hear you in a short time. My Son allows Himself to be moved"—brought comfort to the fearful villagers. That very night, the Prussian advance mysteriously halted.
