Vintage White Bronze Two Roses Center with Miraculous Medal

Two full-blown roses open across the front of the Vintage White Bronze Two Roses Center, with leaves and a bud gathered around them and the stems running off to one side, so that the composition is deliberately unbalanced and all the livelier for it. The petals are cut deep enough to hold real shadow, in the naturalistic Marian manner that flowered on rosary fittings through the nineteenth century.
Turn it over and the devotion is named outright. Two small oval impressions of the Miraculous Medal are set into the flat reverse: above, the Virgin standing with rays streaming from her hands; below, the letter M surmounted by a cross above the two hearts, encircled by stars. That is the design St. Catherine Labouré was shown at the Rue du Bac in 1830, and the roses on the front are the garland from which the rosary takes its name.
This rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
