Product Details

A veiled figure sits within a beaded roundel at the middle of the Vintage White Bronze Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Rosary Center, wrapped in a long mantle with her hands lowered before her. Around the roundel the frame breaks into leaves, grape clusters and small fleur-de-lis, and a ribbon banner arches over the top.

Kateri Tekakwitha was born in the Mohawk Valley in 1656, baptized at twenty, and walked some two hundred miles to the Christian village of Kahnawake on the St. Lawrence, where she lived four years of great prayer and penance before her death at twenty-four. Canonized in 2012, she is the first saint born among the Indigenous peoples of North America and the patroness of ecology and the environment, honored warmly on both sides of the New York and Canada border. The white bronze suits her title, the Lily of the Mohawks.

The Saint Kateri Tekakwitha rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.

  • Made in the USA
  • Artisan-cast from an antique original
  • Finished by hand, so every piece is subtly unique.
  • Buy the medal alone, or add an optional chain or cord necklace
  • Add a cord or chain to have it arrive assembled and ready to wear
  • Arrives in a deluxe velour jewelry box
