The Vintage Bronze St. Therese Medal gives its front to Therese of Lisieux standing at full length in her Carmelite habit, a rayed halo behind her, a crucifix and roses gathered at her breast. Roses are heaped to left and right of her and strewn at her feet, so that she stands in a bank of them. The modelling is soft and low, the sort that wears beautifully.
The reverse carries no image at all, only five lines of flowing script: I am your sister, your friend, I shall always be watching over you, signed St. Therese. It is the promise she is loved for, made from her sickbed at twenty-four and taken up ever since by the countless people who write to her and find roses. Her little way asks nothing heroic of anyone, only small things done with great love.
The medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
