Vintage Bronze St. Joan of Arc Rosary Center with Shield

St. Joan of Arc stands at the center of this wide rosary center in armour and a short tunic, a furled banner on one side of her and a shield charged with the fleurs-de-lis of France on the other, leafy sprays opening behind and a scroll ribbon laid across the foot. It is cast as a small monument, laid out horizontally so it sits well at the heart of a rosary.
Joan was seventeen when she rode to Orleans under a banner she had designed herself, bearing the names of Jesus and Mary rather than any device of war, and nineteen when she was burned at Rouen in 1431. The verdict was annulled a quarter century later, and she was canonized in 1920 as a patroness of France and of soldiers. The banner beside her here is the one she said at her trial that she loved forty times more than her sword.
