Vintage Bronze Radiant Fatima Rosary Center

This radiant rosary center is built as a burst of pierced, leafy points rising above a small shield-shaped panel. Within the panel a standing figure is set against a rayed nimbus, so that the whole piece reads as a single spray of light gathered around a devotional image, and the reverse panel carries a second haloed figure, more softly modeled.
Our Lady of Fatima appeared to three shepherd children in a Portuguese field through the summer of 1917 and asked them, above everything else, to pray the rosary every day. That request is why her image so often sits at the center of one: the light around her here is the light the children described, and the piece puts her exactly where she asked to be, at the heart of the prayer.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character, so the crispness of the pierced points and the depth of the antiquing vary a little from one to the next.
