Vintage Bronze Our Lady of Lourdes Rosary Center

The Vintage Bronze Our Lady of Lourdes Rosary Center gives the whole apparition in miniature. Our Lady stands with her hands joined in the rock niche of Massabielle, and Bernadette kneels below and to the left with her rosary, the smaller figure looking up at the larger one, with the rock face and the foliage of the grotto worked into the ground behind them.
The reverse is quieter and just as carefully cut: a veiled bust in profile with a garland of roses running across the top of the panel and gathering again at the foot. In 1858 Bernadette Soubirous saw the Virgin eighteen times at that grotto, and the words she was given, I am the Immaculate Conception, sent the whole Church to Lourdes, where the sick still come. Together the two faces make the piece a small Lourdes devotion in itself.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
