Vintage Bronze Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary Center

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary Center is built as an open ring set with four full-blown roses at the cardinal points, and in the oval at its heart stands a small veiled figure, hands joined at her breast, her mantle falling in long folds within a mandorla of rays.
The rayed mandorla and the joined hands are the fixed elements of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, venerated at Tepeyac in Mexico City and carried across the Americas since the sixteenth century. The four roses answer the roses of that account, the flowers gathered out of season on a December hillside and carried down in a cloak, where the image was found when the cloak fell open. Cut deeply, the roses take the hand finishing particularly well and hold their shadow.
The Our Lady of Guadalupe rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
