The Vintage Bronze Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary Center is generous in size and given over almost entirely to scrollwork. Our Lady stands at the foot in her rayed mandorla, hands joined and head inclined, and above her the trefoil head of the center is filled edge to edge with curling openwork. The reverse repeats those scrolls and letters the devotion plainly down the lower panel: OUR LADY of Guadalupe.
The devotion begins at Tepeyac in December 1531, with Juan Diego, the roses that had no business blooming, and the image left on his cloak when he let them fall. Our Lady spoke to him in his own tongue and called herself his mother; the tilma still hangs in Mexico City, and no other title of hers is carried by more people today. At an inch and three-quarters the center anchors a full-length rosary well.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
