The Vintage Bronze Our Lady of Beauraing Medal gives its tall arched field almost entirely to one scene. The Virgin stands with a rayed halo and her hands joined among the bare branching trees that fill the upper field, and below her a row of five small figures kneels and stands at a low railing, the witnesses shown as small as they were.
The reverse carries four lines of raised lettering: JE CONVERTIRAI LES PECHEURS, I will convert sinners. Those words are among the ones the five children of Beauraing reported hearing through the winter of 1932 and 1933, beside a hawthorn at the edge of a convent garden in Belgium, where the Virgin came to them again and again and showed them her golden heart. The composition is quiet, almost documentary, and it keeps that promise close.
The medal was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
