Vintage Bronze Miraculous Medal Rosary Center

A small rosary center carrying the Miraculous Medal on both faces. On the front the Virgin stands with her hands lowered and open, rays falling from them across a stippled field inside a scrolled shield-shaped frame. The reverse keeps the other half of the devotion: the letter M surmounted by a cross, with stars scattered across the ground.
The image comes from the vision given to St. Catherine Laboure in Paris in 1830, and the medal made from it has been worn ever since as a plain act of trust in Our Lady's care. Setting it at the center of a rosary puts the two great Marian devotions together, the beads and the medal, the prayer and the promise. This casting is small enough at five-eighths of an inch to sit quietly among the beads while still showing both sides of the image clearly.
