The Vintage Bronze Miraculous Medal Rosary Center is worked on both faces. The front carries the familiar figure of the Virgin standing with her hands lowered and open, the image of the Miraculous Medal, the relief soft and rounded and the field left plain around her.
The reverse shows how the medal came to exist. Our Lady is seated above, and below her a young veiled Sister kneels with her hands joined in the posture of one receiving a vision: St. Catherine Laboure, a novice of the Daughters of Charity, who was shown the pattern in the chapel of the Rue du Bac in Paris in 1830 and told to have it struck. So many favours followed that people gave the medal the name it still carries. Set at the join of a rosary, the two faces keep both the image and its origin in the hand.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
