The Vintage Bronze Mary Undoer of Knots Rosary Center gives one face wholly to the devotion. Mary stands at work on a long ribbon, patiently drawing out the knots one at a time, with winged heads and small attending angels crowded into the field around her. The other face carries a portrait of Pope Francis, lettered FRANCISCUS P.P.
The devotion comes from a German painting of the Virgin untying a knotted ribbon, kept in Augsburg since the eighteenth century. Jorge Bergoglio found it while studying in Germany, brought it back to Buenos Aires, and it spread from there across Latin America and the world. It is a prayer for tangled situations: for marriages and families, for old quarrels, for anything that seems past unravelling, and it makes a fitting centre for a rosary said with those intentions.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from a vintage original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its character.
