The Vintage Bronze Infant of Prague Confraternity Medal is a large cross-shaped medal with foliate arms. The front sets the Holy Infant in a niche, crowned, robed in the stiff bell-shaped vestment, one hand raised in blessing, flanked by palm branches and flowering sprays with a crowned emblem in the panel below.
The reverse carries a circular Nativity relief beneath a crowned shield, ringed by raised Spanish lettering: COFRADIA DEL MILAGROSO NIÑO JESUS DE PRAGA, the Confraternity of the Miraculous Infant Jesus of Prague. Medals like this were worn as a mark of membership and of a promise kept, to pray for the other members living and dead. The devotion to the Infant of Prague, with its assurance of provision to those who honour him as a child, spread through the Spanish-speaking world in exactly this form.
