The Cross-Within-a-Cross rosary link is exactly what its name says. The outer form is a squared Greek cross with short equal arms, and raised at its center is a second, smaller Greek cross. The ground between the two is filled edge to edge with fine sawtooth hatching, the kind of chisel work that catches light from every angle.
A cross set inside a cross is an old way of saying one thing twice over, the sign repeated at the heart of the sign. Both faces are hatched alike, so the piece reads the same whichever way it falls, and worked into a rosary it puts the cross in the middle of the prayer as well as at its end.
