The Vintage Bronze Art Deco Sacred Heart and Madonna Center is cut as a clipped octagon and framed with narrow bands, with rows of small punched triangles running along the top and bottom margins. The geometry is unmistakably of the Deco years, and it gives the two figures inside a stillness that softer frames do not.
The front holds Christ half-length, a rayed nimbus behind his head and both hands opened at the Sacred Heart on his breast, the devotion to a love that gives itself away without reserve. The reverse holds Our Lady veiled, her head bowed and her hands joined in the attitude of prayer. Between the two faces the piece joins the Heart of the Son to the recollection of his Mother, which is precisely what the beads themselves ask of anyone praying them.
The rosary center was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves its vintage character.
