Vintage Bronze Art Deco Chevron Crucifix

The Art Deco Chevron Crucifix is cut in the geometric taste of the Deco years. The arms are squared and flat-faced, each end worked with incised chevrons and lobed leaf shapes cut sharply into the surface. A chevron band runs across the crossbar behind the arms of Christ, long ruled grooves travel down the upright, and a stylized fan closes the foot, with the corpus smooth and elongated to match.
Everything here is angle and edge, and the effect is a Passion rendered in pure geometry, the same instinct that produced the stepped facades and sunburst grilles of the 1920s and 1930s turned to the central image of the faith. It reads clearly at arm's length and looks entirely at home worn today, which is not something every antique pattern can manage.
The chevron crucifix was faithfully reproduced from an antique original and cast in the USA using a traditional fine-detail casting process that preserves the crucifix's vintage character.
