St. Zachariah the Prophet
Hebrew minor prophet of the late 6th century BC, contemporary of Haggai during the rebuilding of the Temple after the Exile (520-518 BC); his book contains apocalyptic visions of the Messiah ("Behold, your king is coming, riding on an ass," Zech 9:9, fulfilled at Palm Sunday). Roman Martyrology lists him November 5 (with St. Elizabeth).
