St. William of Eskilsoe
French Augustinian Canon abbot in Denmark (c. 1125-1203), of Saint-Geneviève in Paris; sent at Bishop Absalon's request to reform the canons of Eskilsø in 1165, then founded the abbey of Æbelholt where he died. First canonized Danish saint (1224 by Honorius III).
