St. Wenceslaus
Bohemian duke and martyr (c. 907-935), grandson of St. Ludmila, murdered by his own brother Boleslav at the church of Stará Boleslav for his Christian piety and pro-German foreign policy. Patron of the Czech nation; subject of the medieval English carol "Good King Wenceslas." Pre-Congregation.
