St. Vitalis of Savigny
French abbot (c. 1060-1122), of Tierceville in Normandy, secular cleric turned hermit who founded the abbey of Savigny in 1112—the head of the Savigniac federation, which merged with the Cistercians in 1147. Pre-Congregation.
