St. Vincenza Gerosa
Italian co-foundress, with St. Bartolomea Capitanio, of the Institute of the Sisters of Charity of Lovere. After Capitanio's early death, Gerosa carried the young community forward for fourteen more years, consolidating its rule and works of mercy among the sick and the poor. Despite limited education she governed the institute with wisdom and humility until her death at sixty-two.
