St. Vincent Pallotti
Italian priest (1795-1850), Roman-born; founder of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (Pallottines, 1835) - a society of priests, religious, and laypeople for the promotion of the apostolate of all the baptized. Anticipator of much of the lay apostolate teaching of the Second Vatican Council. Canonized 1963 by John XXIII.
