St. Teresa Margaret Redi
Italian Discalced Carmelite mystic of Florence whose hidden life of contemplation and active charity in the monastery infirmary was crowned by mystical insight into the depths of the Sacred Heart. She summarized her spirituality in the simple phrase, 'God is love, and the soul that lives in love lives in God.' She died at age twenty-two; her body was discovered incorrupt fifteen days after her death and remains so today in the convent at Florence.
