Roman boy-acolyte and martyr (3rd century, d. c. 257), young Christian killed by a pagan mob while carrying the Eucharist to imprisoned Christians. Subject of a verse epitaph by Pope Damasus. Patron of altar servers and First Communicants. Pre-Congregation.
