St. Syncletica
Egyptian desert mother (c. 270-c. 350), of Alexandrian Macedonian family, with her younger sister withdrew to a tomb outside Alexandria after their parents' deaths and gathered around her a community of women ascetics. Subject of a Greek Vita and many of the Apophthegmata. Pre-Congregation.
