St. Simplician
Italian bishop (c. 320-400), priest of Rome who at Milan formed the young Augustine and gave him the example of the Roman rhetor Marius Victorinus's conversion (Confessions VIII). Successor of St. Ambrose as Bishop of Milan from 397. Pre-Congregation.
