St. Severin of Noricum
Eastern monastic missionary in the Danube provinces (c. 410-482), of unknown but probably Eastern origin who appeared in Noricum (modern Austria) in the 450s during the collapse of Roman authority and led the Romance-speaking Christian remnant through famine and barbarian incursions.
