St. Scholastica
Italian Benedictine abbess (c. 480-c. 543), twin sister of St. Benedict of Nursia; foundress and first abbess of the women's community at Plumbariola near Monte Cassino. Pope Gregory the Great recounts in his "Dialogues" that at her last meeting with Benedict she prayed for a thunderstorm so they could continue conversing through the night. Pre-Congregation.
