St. Salomon Leclercq
French De La Salle Brother of the Christian Schools, secretary to the Brothers' Superior General during the French Revolution. After refusing to take the Civil Constitution of the Clergy oath required by the revolutionary government, he was imprisoned at the Carmelite convent in Paris and massacred there with 191 fellow priests and religious during the September Massacres of 1792. He is the first canonized saint of the De La Salle Brothers.
