St. Remigius of Reims
Gallo-Roman bishop (c. 437-533), elected Bishop of Reims at age 22 and reigned for some seventy years; baptized King Clovis I of the Franks at Christmas 496 (or 506) with 3,000 of his warriors at Reims, founding the medieval kingship of France and establishing a tradition of royal anointing at Reims that continued to Charles X (1825).
