St. Remaclus
Frankish abbot and bishop (c. 600-c. 673), Aquitanian disciple of St. Eligius, abbot of Solignac, then sent by Pepin of Landen to Wallonia where he founded the great twin abbeys of Stavelot and Malmedy on the Ardennes plateau (650). Pre-Congregation.
