St. Raphaela Mary Porras
Spanish foundress (1850-1925), Andalusian widow's daughter who with her sister founded the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (1877), dedicated to perpetual eucharistic adoration and education. Deposed by intrigue from leadership of her own congregation in 1893 and lived for thirty more years in obscure obedience. Canonized 1977 by Paul VI.
