St. Priscilla
1st-century Roman convert and tentmaker, with her husband St. Aquila companions of St. Paul at Corinth and Ephesus (Acts 18); gave hospitality to Paul, instructed Apollos (Acts 18:26), and hosted the church in their house (Rom 16:5; 1 Cor 16:19). Often named first of the pair, suggesting prominence; tradition makes her a martyr. Pre-Congregation.
