St. Philip the Apostle
Apostle from Bethsaida in Galilee (Jn 1:43-46), brought St. Bartholomew (Nathanael) to Jesus; mentioned at the multiplication of the loaves (Jn 6) and at the Last Supper ("Show us the Father," Jn 14:8). Tradition makes him a missionary in Phrygia, where he died, perhaps a martyr at Hierapolis. Joint feast with St. James the Less May 3.
