St. Peter Fourier
French Augustinian Canon Regular (1565-1640), Lorrainer parish priest of Mattaincourt for thirty years (the "good father of Mattaincourt"); with Bl. Alix Le Clerc co-founded the Canonesses Regular of Our Lady (1597) for the free education of girls, the first Catholic women's congregation devoted to teaching. Canonized 1897 by Leo XIII.
