Frankish bishop and statesman (c. 609-686), of Sancy near Soissons; royal chancellor under Dagobert I, then Bishop of Rouen from 641 for forty-five years. Friend and biographer of St. Eligius; major figure in the Christianization of the Frankish countryside. Pre-Congregation.
