St. Othmar
Frankish-Alemannic abbot (c. 689-759), first abbot of the new Benedictine community established at the cell of St. Gall in 720 (later the Abbey of St. Gall); imprisoned by jealous lay neighbors in his last years and died in confinement. Pre-Congregation.
