St. Osmund of Salisbury
Norman bishop in England (c. 1050-1099), nephew of William the Conqueror, royal chancellor before becoming Bishop of Salisbury (Old Sarum) in 1078; codified the influential "Use of Sarum," the principal medieval English liturgical rite. Canonized 1457 by Callixtus III—the last canonization in pre-Reformation England.
