St. Nereus
Roman martyrs (d. c. 304), traditionally praetorian guards or chamberlains of Domitilla, beheaded under Diocletian for refusing to renounce Christianity. Pope Damasus's verse inscription survives in the catacomb of Domitilla. Pre-Congregation; Roman Canon companions.
